neutral earth tones, dressy casual, semi-formal

browns, tans, blues, greens, don’t wear black!

use your best judgement! men’s white shirts are totally fine. a colorful dress with a little bit of white works great. light colors are encouraged in the desert. just please don’t shine brighter than the bride.

black doesn’t quite go with the desert theme, but most importantly you will die. joshua tree should be lovely this time of year, but the sun can still go hard.

don’t sweat a jacket (haha sweat…). find a nice shirt and remember that white shirts are totally cool. doesn’t have to be white though, you can mix it up.

ties are up to you, whatever makes you feel good.

a nice pair of khaki slacks will play well, so keep that in your back pocket.

dressy casual says it all. dresses, jumpsuits, you get the picture. keep in mind that we’ll be walking in the sandy desert (uneven terrain), so choose footwear accordingly.

lighter flowy fabrics will be more comfortable: linen, etc. october has an average high of ~80° and low of ~60°. you should plan to be outside for 2 hours. we’ll bring shade and chairs but still plan ahead.

it gets cool when the sun goes down so bring a sweater or light jacket for later.

yes and yes. big sun hats only, though. no baseball caps.
